Mufti Nazir guides pilgrims on Hajj rituals | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 26 (KNO): A Hajj training programme was organised jointly by the Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam and Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar at the Anjuman’s main auditorium, where male and female pilgrims, blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj this year, participated in large numbers. The training session was conducted by the renowned Islamic scholar, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Al-Qasmi, Sheikh-ul-Hadith of Darul Uloom Raheemiya, Bandipora. In his detailed address, Mufti Sahib elaborated on the virtues of Hajj and Umrah, explained the rituals (Manasik), addressed key rulings and practices, and answered various queries raised by the pilgrims during the session, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). On this occasion, a special booklet titled “Ahkaam-e-Hajj wa Umrah” was released by the Mirwaiz Foundation and gifted to the pilgrims to assist them in understanding the procedures and etiquettes of Hajj and Umrah. Concluding the programme, Mufti Nazir extended heartfelt congratulations to the pilgrims and conveyed the greetings and good wishes of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, praying for the success and acceptance of their blessed journey. Besides many prominent scholars and muftis, the event was attended by Anjuman’s General Secretary Khurshid Ahmad, Anjuman Auqaf’s General Secretary Khwaja Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Principal of Oriental College Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, Editor of Nusrat-ul-Islam Maulana M.S.
